TakefliteOps app for iPhone and iPad

This application is for Takeflite Ops Manager customers to access Takeflite information useful for operations staff and pilots while on the move, providing information useful in situations when pilots and operations staff are out of the office and do not necessarily have access to a PC or the internet.

It is designed for use on either and iPad or iPhone and in any orientation.

To log in, simply use your existing Takeflite login details and site name. NOTE: You will need to ensure that the Allow Mobile Service checkbox is enabled FOR EACH USER via the Setup-Users/Crew menu option in Takeflite, and that Allow Mobile Service is enabled in Site Settings.

The application provides the following functions:

•Flights - List of flights for a selected day. If logged in as a pilot, only those flight are displayed
•Passengers – View all passengers for a day or per flight
•Freight – View all freight items for a day and mark as delivered and collect a signature
•Defects – View all defects, or per aircraft, and add new defects
•Location tracking
•Flight log entry with autocomplete take off/landing
•Check-in/No Show passenger and bag weight update
•Messaging/push notifications
•Reports – select which reports to run via Takeflite
•View crew rosters (ie duty, RDO etc)
•Create open package bookings
•Offline store and forward
•User guide provided

If internet access is available the app will load and store the most recent information on to iPad/iPhone for the selected day. The application will also work if not connected to the internet and will use the stored information. Any changes or new items added while the iPhone/iPad is not connected to the internet will be saved to the device and the number of pending items will become visible above the Settings tab. Once internet access is available, pressing the Upload Pending Data button will updated Takeflite with all stored check in information.

Note that continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

For managers and owners our other iPhone application, Takeflite Stats, may also be useful. It displays key statistical information for a day to give an overview of how the business is performing.
